Qualified candidates must be U.S. citizens with a TS/SCI clearance and Full Scope Polygraph.\n\nResponsibilities:\nDesign, develop, and enhance diverse software systems, including analytics, algorithms, large-scale data processing, real-time systems, and business management tools.\nReview, test, and document software components to ensure they meet design requirements while resolving issues and applying appropriate development methodologies.\nContribute to system design by analyzing hardware/software trade-offs, promoting software reuse, integrating COTS/GOTS solutions, and performing requirement analyses from system-level specifications to individual components.\nAnalyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.\nDebug existing software and correct defects.\nProvide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards.\nDesign and code new software or modify existing software to add new features.\nIntegrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.\nDevelop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories.\nWrite or review software and system documentation.\nServe as team lead at the level appropriate to the software development process being used on any project.\nDesign or implement complex database or data repository interfaces/queries.\nDevelop or implement algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards.\nAssist with developing and executing test procedures for software components.\nDevelop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, confer with users or system engineers; analyze systems flow, data usage, and work processes; and investigate problem areas.\nModify existing software to correct errors, to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance.\nDesign, develop, and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes and consequences of design.\nDesign or implement complex algorithms requiring adherence to strict timing, system resource, or interface constraints\nPerform quality control on team products.\nImplement recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards.\nOversee one or more software development teams and ensure the work is completed in accordance with the constraints of the software development process being used on any project.\nConfer with system engineers and hardware engineers to derive software requirements and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements, and interfaces.\nCoordinate software system installation.\n\nRequired Qualifications:\n14 years of experience as a Software Engineer\nPrior experience designing and developing automated analytic software, techniques, and algorithms\nPrior experience developing and deploying applications in a cloud environment\nExperience documenting data models, schemas, data element dictionaries, and other technical specifications\nKnowledgeable in AWS\nExperience with Python, Java, C++, and Git\nExperience with Relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL)\nExperience using tools such as Jira and Confluence\nExperience working in an Agile development environment\n\nEducation Requirements:\nBachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline; 4 years of additional software engineering experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted in lieu of degree\n\nClearance Requirements:\nTS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph\n\nThe pay range for this position is $100,000 to $300,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract ranges, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors.
