This position plays an integral part on the team by overseeing and managing the daily operations of the production floor to ensure safe work practices, maintain high product quality standards and an efficient and timely work environment with an engaged team. This position is responsible for coordinating with other departments to streamline workflow, managing production team members, implementing process improvements and meeting production targets within budget constraints.\r\nPrimary Responsibilities:\r\nDaily Operation Monitoring:\r\noManage day-to-day production operations.\r\noReview production schedules and allocate resources effectively to meet production targets and deadlines.\r\noContinuously monitor equipment performance and schedule preventive maintenance and repairs as needed.\r\noManage daily and job specific documentation and materials; ensuring to communicate if material stock is running low.\r\noOversee quality control of each job and provide final sign off.\r\nWelding Expertise\r\noPerform advanced and complex welding tasks on various materials and configurations.\r\noExecute precision welds requiring a high degree of skill and adherence to tight tolerances.\r\noInterpret complex blueprints, welding symbols, and process documentation.\r\noTroubleshoot welding issues and recommend improvements to techniques or processes.\r\noServe as a technical expert for specialized welding projects or repairs.\r\nTeam Leadership:\r\noSupported by the Operations Manager, lead, mentor, and provide direction to production team members.\r\noMonitor and track progress of new hire training and transfers.\r\noMonitor and track cross training amongst team members.\r\nContinuous Improvement:\r\noMonitor and analyze operation metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements to report out in daily/weekly production schedule meetings.\r\noIdentify and implement best practices to optimize production efficiency, reduce downtime, and enhance product quality.\r\noHave an understanding, implementation and use of LEAN tools.\r\nInterdepartmental Responsibilities:\r\noAs delegated by the Operations Manager, collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations processes.\r\nSafety and Compliance:\r\noPromote a safe work environment by enforcing safety policies and procedures.\r\noReview regular safety topics with team members and ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.\r\noAssist with investigating any reported accidents or safety incidents.\r\nJob Requirements:\r\nBachelors degree in manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) preferred.\r\nProven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment preferred.\r\nStrong knowledge of production processes, quality control principles, and safety regulations required.\r\nCapabilities:\r\nCommunicates effectively:\r\noShares information with the team. Actively listens and involves others. Clearly conveys ideas in a manner that engages others and helps them understand and retain the message.\r\noStrong interpersonal skills & ability to engage and communicate with internal & external partners at all levels of the organization.\r\nManages performance:\r\noHas an authentic interpersonal style that engages others and encourages high performance.
