The Production Operator supports daily manufacturing of electrolyte powder used in next-generation battery materials. This role involves operating production and powder-handling equipment, following strict safety and quality procedures, and ensuring consistent product output. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a controlled chemical production environment.\r\nJob Duties:\r\nOperate mixers, reactors, dryers, jet mills, sieves, and packaging systems according to SOPs.\r\nMonitor equipment performance and notify leadership of abnormalities or required adjustments.\r\nAssist with equipment cleaning, changeovers, and basic maintenance tasks.\r\nAccurately weigh, stage raw materials and powders.\r\nTransfer materials between production steps using approved handling methods.\r\nPackage, label, and seal electrolyte powder following quality and safety requirements.\r\nComplete batch records, log sheets, and digital entries with full accuracy.\r\nPerform in-process checks as trained.\r\nCommunicate any deviations, material issues, or safety concerns immediately.\r\nFollow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and chemical-handling protocols.\r\nMaintain a clean, organized workspace in accordance with 5S and housekeeping standards.\r\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and throughput.\r\nQualifications/Requirements:\r\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent.\r\nPrevious experience in chemical manufacturing, powder production, or similar environments preferred.\r\nComfortable working with powders, chemicals, and glovebox or controlled-atmosphere operations.\r\nAbility to understand SOPs, follow instructions, and maintain accurate records.\r\nBasic computer skills (training provided on internal systems).\r\nAbility to work collaboratively in cross-functional & team-oriented environment.\r\nAvailable to work a day shift schedule (Monday through Friday).\r\nPhysical Requirements:\r\nMost working hours will be spent on the production floor.\r\nAbility to lift 50lbs daily.\r\nRequired to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary including, but not limited to eye protection, hair net, gloves, face mask, coveralls, full-face respirator or PAPR.\r\nHourly Range: $24.00-$28.00/hour\r\nBenefits: Solid Power offers a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical/dental/vision insurance, employer paid Life/AD&D/STD/LTD insurance, 401k with company match, paid holidays, generous PTO, up to six (6) weeks paid FMLA leave, cell phone reimbursement and eligibility to participate in our equity plan.\r\nExport Control Requirements: This position could require access to technology, software and other information that is subject to governmental access control restrictions, due to export controls.
