This role will serve as a growing technical resource, assisting with the implementation, administration, and support of Red Hat OpenShift environments, including onboarding applications into the platform, in alignment with USAREC's broader cloud migration and architecture initiatives, working alongside more senior engineers. The role includes support of Linux and Windows server environments, virtualization platforms, and DoD-compliant systems, while contributing to containerization and cloud modernization initiatives in support of Army recruiting operations.\n\nMajor Activities\nAssist in mapping the relationship between IT platform/infrastructure components (i.e. Technology End Users, IT System Software & Hardware, and info-Communications Transmission Networks).\nSupport the identification of key technology interactions and dependencies across systems/platforms.\nInvestigate and troubleshoot system issues to identify root causes, escalating as needed to ensure timely resolution.\nAssist in the deployment, configuration, and day-to-day administration of Red Hat OpenShift clusters.\nSupport system monitoring and performance optimization efforts across Linux and Windows server environments.\nAssist in implementing and maintaining backup strategies to ensure data integrity and installing, configuring, patching, and troubleshooting Linux servers (e.g., RHEL) in a virtualized environment.\nStrong knowledge of Windows Server administration and skill in managing Windows Server environments (e.g., Windows Server 2012/2019, Active Directory, SCCM, and Group Policy).\nAbility to administer and support virtualization platforms such as Hyper-V, vCenter, and VMware.\nExposure to containerization concepts and/or Red Hat OpenShift/Kubernetes is a plus, but not required willingness to learn is key.\nAbility to work effectively within DoD and other government environments, including NIPR support, DISA STIG compliance, and vulnerability management practices (e.g., ACAS).\nDemonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively in a
