In this role, you\nwill lead the management and coordination of projects designed to strengthen the U.S. nuclear\nsafeguards workforce while serving as a primary interface between national laboratories and\nsubcontractors. Additionally, you will oversee financial stewardship for the INSITE portfolio and\ncontribute to long-term strategic planning to ensure the effective execution of program objectives.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nAnalytical Safeguards Expertise: Provide analytical support to the INSITE\nprogram, focusing on the implementation, evaluation, and enhancement of\ninternational nuclear safeguards.\nProgram Management & Coordination: Lead the coordination and management of\nsafeguards programming, projects, and activities designed to strengthen the U.S.\nnuclear safeguards workforce.\nInteragency and Laboratory Interface: Serve as an interface with DOE/NNSA\nnational laboratories and subcontractors, fostering collaborative relationships and\nensuring effective project execution.\nFinancial Stewardship: Oversee budget planning, development, execution, and\nreporting for programs and projects within the INSITE portfolio.\nStrategic Support: Contribute to the development of strategic plans,\nrecommendations, and analytical guidance related to INSITE program.\nAdaptability: Execute other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and\nresponsiveness to evolving program needs and priorities\nRequirements:\nMinimum Qualifications:\nExperience: Professional experience gained within a DOE/NNSA national laboratory\nsetting, specifically supporting international nuclear safeguards projects and programs.\nEducation: Bachelors Degree with minimum 4 years relevant experience\nSecurity Clearance: Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Q-clearance.\nTechnical Knowledge: Knowledge of IAEA safeguards concepts and approaches.\nCommunication Skills: Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with a\nproven ability to convey complex technical information clearly and persuasively to\nvarying audiences, including leadership and laboratory partners.\nAnalytical Acumen: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to\ndevelop sound recommendations.\nProject Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously,\nprioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.\nDesired Qualifications:\nAdvanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., International Relations, Social Sciences,\nPolitical Science).\nExperience with programs under the Office of Nonproliferation and Arms Control related\nto nuclear nonproliferation and international nuclear safeguards.\nFamiliarity with nuclear fuel cycle technologies and their implications for safeguards.\nAbout Cogent Security LLC:\nCogent Security was founded in 2010 and has since grown to\nover 150 employees.
