Apply via Dice today!Title:IT Procurement Specialist - Primarily remote (Local to NC only)Location:Raleigh,NCLength:Long termRestriction:w2 or c2cDescription:Webcam Interview Only *** Very long term project; initial PO for 1 year, expect to go for 4+ years ***primarily remote; onstie as needed***Job DescriptionThis contractor serves as an IT Business Office resource and is responsible for the procurement of contract and non-contract goods and services for the agency.Primary ResponsibilitiesObtaining required vendor quotesProcessing purchase orders for software, equipment and other commodities as assignedPrepare and post to the Electronic Vendor Portal (eVP), the Sourcing Tool, the Contract Workspace, and complete bid solicitationsComplete Request for Quotes (RFQ''s), Invitation for Bids (IFB''s), Request for Proposals (RFP''s)Prepare addendum''s, amendments, clarifications, and exception documentationKey Areas of ResponsibilityKey areas of responsibility daily for this position include:Extensive knowledge and experience in the procurement of goods and services for governmental agencies to make objective decisions and accurate judgmentsExceptional writing and listening skills are requiredAbility to follow instructions explicitly and be detailed-orientatedWorking knowledge and experience of state policies and regulationsProcure Information Technology goods/services such as software, equipment and other commodities as assignedComprehend, apply, and interpret established rules and regulations, complex technical contract languageSkills/RequirementsThorough understanding of large and small-scale purchasing methods and procedures. Required 3 YearsThorough knowledge of RFPs, RFQs, c, and Amendments. Required 3 YearsWorking knowledge of General Statutes, NC Administrative Code, and State IT Term Contracts.
