{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"483990e3c5a5bea1719b114a","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/483990e3c5a5bea1719b114a","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/483990e3c5a5bea1719b114a","title":"Storage and Virtualization - Intermediate","description":"A successful Storage and Virtualization Administrator – Intermediate Level candidate will have:\r\nA thorough understanding of the storage and virtualization processes.\r\nDetailed knowledge about server virtualization and hardware.\r\nExperience with VMware vSphere and managing ESXi hosts and virtual machines.\r\nAbility to troubleshoot VMware vSphere and hardware related issues.\r\nExcellent customer service skills.\r\nThe ideal candidate will have\r\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\r\nExperience with VMware vCenter and ESXi.\r\nExperience with maintaining and patching VMware vSphere environment.\r\nAbility to perform incremental and full back-ups with Commvault.\r\nStrong mentorship skills.\r\nKey Tasks & Responsibilities\r\nBuild, configure and maintain virtual machines, servers, and storage solutions.\r\nAssist in training junior employees.\r\nProvide diagnostics and technical resolution for any local or remote assets.\r\nTroubleshoot and resolve trouble tickets using ServiceNow.\r\nProvide outstanding service by interacting directly with customers seeking resolution.\r\nCommunicate issues and recommendations back to leadership in a clear and concise manner.\r\nDocument work to share with Storage and Virtualization team.\r\nEducation & Experience\r\nRequires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent, and 2 - 4 years of related experience.\r\nDesired\r\nDirect experience with VMware vSphere.\r\nExperience with storage and hardware solutions for virtualized computing environments.\r\nCertifications\r\nSecurity+, or other qualifying IAT II certification.\r\nVMWare VCP certification or ability to obtain within 180 days.\r\nSecurity Clearance\r\nActive Secret or TOP Secret.\r\nOther (Travel, Work Environment, DoD 8570 Requirements, Administrative Notes, etc.)\r\nShift – The primary shift for this position is Monday – Friday between the operating hours of 0600 to 1700.\r\nComputer World Services is an affirmative action and equal employment opportunity employer.
