This role will also require some time in the field as a mobile phlebotomist.\nEssential Functions\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nReceive and open sample boxes from courier services.\nSort samples by specimen type for aliquoting trays.\nAliquot each specimen using proper technique.\nData entry all required fields from requisition.\nFile and maintain requisitions.\nCommunicate to managerial staff any work-related incidents and personnel issues that may arise.\nBe open to all changes within the continuously evolving department.\nBe able to adjust days/shift as needed.\nFollow any directives given by the supervisor.\nKeep work area clean and organized at all times.\nWill greet and properly identify patients and verify test orders.\nWill follow instructions to correctly perform venipunctures, while maintaining patient safety and confidentiality.\nMaintain a safe work environment for his or herself and the patients by following all safety precautions outlined in the Procedure Manual, which includes wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).\nWill properly label, centrifuge when needed, aliquot, store, and transport all samples according to the Procedure Manual. Verify all requisition forms are completed with the required information.\nImmediately clean and disinfect area upon contamination and before leaving the facility\nCompetencies\nCommunication Proficiency.\nTime Management.\nCollaboration Skills.\nPersonal Effectiveness/Credibility.\nFlexibility.\nTechnical Capacity.\nStress Management/Composure.\nPositive Attitude.\nSupervisory Responsibility\nThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.\nWork Environment\nThis job operates in a professional office and laboratory environment.
