The Data Entry Clerk will augment existing staff to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant handling of high-volume documentation that directly supports program integrity and service delivery. This project plays a key role in maintaining data accuracy, meeting regulatory requirements, and ensuring stakeholders receive reliable and efficient service.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform high-volume data entry with accuracy and attention to detailReview, process, and verify claims and supporting documentationUtilize multiple systems for data processing and verification, including mainframe systems and document management platformsIndex and validate claims data against multiple sources, both manually and through technologyApply established policies and procedures to ensure compliant data processingConduct quality control checks to ensure work meets defined standards and expectationsSupport provider and stakeholder outreach related to data clarification or follow-upMonitor assigned work to ensure completion within established deadlinesPerform additional administrative and data management tasks as assignedRequired Skills & QualificationsEntry-level experience in data entry, administrative support, or data processingStrong attention to detail and ability to follow defined proceduresExperience working with documentation systems and data management toolsFamiliarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)Knowledge of claims documentation, including CMS1500 and UB04 (CMS1450) formsAbility to manage repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy and qualityStrong organizational and time management skillsProject ImpactEnsures accurate and compliant processing of claims and provider dataSupports timely decision-making and service delivery for government programsHelps maintain data integrity and reduce errors across critical systemsDirectly contributes to operational efficiency and stakeholder satisfactionWork EnvironmentPosition will sit in Sioux Falls or Pierre, SDCandidate must be available to travel to Pierre on an as-needed basisCollaborative, process-driven environment with clear expectations and procedures*Job Type & Location*This is a Contract position based out of Pierre, SD.*Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
