Permitting Specialist
We are currently hiring a Permitting Specialist in LaBella's Program Management Services Division at our client's office.The Program Management Services Division at LaBella provides comprehensive management services for complex projects and multi-year capital programs. Project teams are established to provide a customized mix of business consulting, project management, financial control and monitoring, administrative, and technical support services.Salary Range: $68,000 - $108,000The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.DutiesSiting Counsel, Army Corps, Natural Heritage or SHPO consultation, coastal zone development, DOT, FAA, etcDevelops or coordinates the development of the required environmental permitsManages progress against plans, performs risk assessment and take action to mitigate risksVerifies project adherence to federal, state and local environmental regulatory requirementsParticipates in project teams and participating in regular program/project planning, execution and delivery team meetingsRepresents the company at public or regulatory meetingsReviews and comments on proposed laws and regulations as they apply to company operationsManages or oversees implementation and inspection of wildlife, agriculture or wetland mitigation/management plans, and other regulatory requirements of permits which extend beyond construction phase of projectDevelops or oversees the development of SWPPPsEscalates issues when necessaryConducts SWPPP inspections, oversees contracted SWPPP inspectors or environmental monitors, and conducts environmental inspections at construction projectsRequirements5-7 years of experience obtaining Environmental Regulatory Permits with state, federal and municipal agencies to achieve permits to meet project goals and execution schedulesExperienced in the drafting, editing and interpreting studies for the development, submission and acquisition of certificates to build or other regulatory filingsExperience working in team environment to site facilities in the energy sector minimizing environmental, visual and customer impacts considering the companies and projects business requirementsB.S.
