This position does require at least 25% travel.\nCoordination of system maintenance, monitoring, and installation of multiple WAN/LAN environments encompassing multiple specializations, platforms, and technologies.\nAssist with research and implementation of enterprise system-wide network solutions/capabilities/enhancements to support customer business/mission goals and objectives.\nTroubleshoot and resolve network media and components.\nEvaluate and monitor the health and performance of the network, including hardware and management software.\nDevelop and maintain a road map for capabilities, operations, and technologies.\nAssist with the development and execution of test plans and supporting documentation of all network configuration upgrades, additions, or revisions for customer approval before implementation.\nSupport network traffic analysis and bandwidth optimization efforts to ensure attainment of performance and availability objectives.\nEvaluate and report on new/emerging network/communication technologies to enhance the capacity, performance, and reliability of the network.\nEvaluate and recommend changes and/or technology upgrades to address performance, standardization, and industry best practices.\nFollows all Customer network security processes and procedures, ensuring compliance with all Government policies.\nRepresent customer requirements in technical exchanges with other government agencies.\nPerform site surveys for new installations and technology refresh.\nInstalls, maintains, and troubleshoots satellite communications equipment.\nDevelop and maintain network architecture diagrams.\nQualifications:\nSecurity Clearance: active TS/SCI\n8+ years related technical experience in Network and Transport technologies, tools, and techniques\n4+ years' experience with large-scale enterprise/global networks in a high paced diverse environment\nUnderstanding and experience with the DoD Architecture Framework and other key DoD network architecture and strategic planning instructions\nExperience with Juniper, switches, routers, and firewalls. (MX, EX, SRX devices) Cryptographic devices (KG-175G/X, KG-245A/X)\nExperience with Network analysis tools (HP/Microfocus Network Automation and Network Node Manager, Juniper Secure Analytics, Infoblox, Riverbed.)\nExperience with Juniper firewall/VPN equipment (SRX series)\nExperience with supporting IP services to connect to NIPRNET, SIPRNET and JWICS (IPv4, VPN, IPv6, Multicast, QOS, SDN, SNMP, VOIP, VTC, etc)\nExperience with OSPF, BGP, MPLS, RSVP/LDP L2/3VPNs, VRFs, IKE/IPSec, GRE tunnels, MTU, FTP, Import/Export policies.\nCertifications: IAT II\n\nDesired Qualifications:\nMaster's degree in Computer Science or related field\nJNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIP, CISCO CCNP, CCVP, CCNA or CCDP (or equivalent)\nITIL v3 Foundations\nISC2 CISSP\nCompTIA Security +\nWork Environment:\nProfessional Office Environment: Must be able to sit at a desktop or laptop computer for extended periods of time.\nPhysical Demands:\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone.\nMust be able to communicate regularly via telephone and verbally present information to employees, customers, and outside vendors.\nExpected Hours of Work:\n40 hours per week based on the customer's core operating hours.\nAbout RISA:\nIn this time of rapid change, as technologies expand at lightning speed, RISA seeks to remain at the forefront - applying them in unique ways to address our customers' challenges and providing our employees with engaging career opportunities.
