Our Packaging Supervisor(s)manage packaging operators and oversee the production processes in the absence of the Packaging Manager.\nThe Packaging Supervisor ensures compliance with cGMP, company policies, standard operating procedures, and FDA requirements serving as a key resource for conducting product complaints, supporting packaging, and packaging components within approved procedures and regulatory requirements.\nThe job duties for this position include but are not limited to the following:\nManaging shifts and controls activities\nSupervising activities and work performed on the shop floor.\nMaintaining proper cGMP practices across all work areas.\nResponsible for working in all areas such as Pre-check and office duties.\nResponsible for working with Systech serialization system and SAP.\nReducing time spent preparing lines for the next products.\nTraining and educating employees when necessary.\nRecording In-process entries into respective documents.\nChecking the Cleanliness of machines prior to or after use.\nPerforming daily routine checkups and ensuring safety measures are in place.\nReducing time spent during changeovers.\nEnforcing cGMP.\nMaintaining full knowledge and a strong understanding of all SOPs and proper use of equipment.\nBe a point of contact for questions regarding procedures and expectations for employees.\nServe as a leader and coach.\nContribute to Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) writing in the technical area.\nUnderstand and operates all necessary equipment and instrumentation to perform activities.\nMaintains documentation in accordance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements (i.e., GMP, SOPs etc.).\nFollow strict internal protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as well as follow current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), comply with legal regulations, monitoring the environment.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nEducation and Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Packaging, or related field of study from an accredited college/university required.\nMinimum of two years of experience in pharmaceutical or fully automated packaging lines.\nAt least two years directly managing/supervising/leading a team.\n2 years’ experience cGMP work experience.\nTechnical Knowledge and Computer Systems Skills\nStrong understanding of pharmaceutical or fully automated packaging machines.\nCapable of conducting trouble-shootings packaging machines.\nCapable of handling and participating in compliance and regulatory audits at the local and federal levels.\nExperience using SAP business systems and applications is a plus\nProfessional and Behavioral Competencies\nProficiently speak English as a first or second language\nAbility to understand and analyze complex data sets.\nKnowledge of statistical packages is a plus.\nKnowledge of good manufacturing practices and good documentation practices preferred.\nAbility to read, write and communicate effectively.\nSelf-motivated, with the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.\nExcellent organizational skills with the ability to focus on details.\nBasic computer skills (Word and Excel) – Intermediate\nGood basic math knowledge and excellent attention to details.\nWork Schedule and Other Position Information\nMust be willing to work in a pharmaceutical packaging setting.\nMust be willing and able to work any assigned shift ranging from the first or second shift.
