Due to growth, we are looking for experienced Maintenance Mechanics to work in the Western Kentucky area to help us continue providing our customers with the best services possible.\n\nAs an Elevator Mechanic you will be responsible for the installation and construction of elevators and other lifting equipment. The Elevator Mechanic will be responsible for ensuring the safety and reliability of the equipment, as well as troubleshooting and resolving any mechanical issues that may arise. This involves skilled mechanical work and intricate control circuits.\nResponsibilities:\nResponsible for inspecting elevators of all types and makes, determining the cause of faulty operation, making repairs and adjustments, and troubleshooting problems.\nAbility to diagnose deficiency of equipment and make recommendations for major changes or requirements.\nInstall, maintain, and repair elevators, escalators, and other lifting equipment\nKnowledge and ability to analyze and repair failures, especially in emergency situations.\nTroubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues.\nRepair or replace defective parts.\nConduct regular inspections to ensure equipment is functioning properly.\nRespond to emergency repair calls in a timely manner.\nMaintain accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed.\nProvide excellent customer service to building owners and occupants.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nState and/or city issued Mechanic’s license as required.\nCompletion of an apprenticeship program or technical school training in elevator repair.\nMinimum of 4 years of elevator experience.\nKnowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.\nStrong problem-solving skills.\nExcellent communication and customer service skills.\nKnowledge of safety regulations and building codes.\nStrong attention to detail.\nPhysical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.\nValid driver's license.\nWork Environment & Hazards:\nThe Elevator Mechanic will work in a variety of settings, including commercial buildings, hospitals, airports, and residential complexes.\nThe job may involve working at heights or in confined spaces.\nHazards may include electrical shock, falls, and exposure to hazardous chemicals.\nSpecial Physical Demands:\nThe Elevator Mechanic must be able to lift heavy equipment up to fifty pounds (50lbs) or more, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.\nThe job may require standing for prolonged periods of time and working in awkward position.\nWork Contact Group:\nModerate contact with internal departments, regulatory agencies, customers, contractors, and management.\nWe are proud to offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the health, well-being, and professional growth of our team.
