Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with behavioral challenges, implementing therapeutic strategies, and promoting mental wellness. This position requires a strong understanding of various therapeutic modalities, including art therapy, psychopharmacology, and gender issues counseling. The Behavioral Specialist will work collaboratively with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop personalized treatment plans that foster positive behavioral changes.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients' behavioral needs and strengths.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
Utilize therapeutic techniques such as art therapy to engage clients in the healing process.
Provide counseling and support related to psychopharmacology to help clients understand their medication regimens.
Address gender issues through sensitive and informed counseling practices.
Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure effectiveness.
Collaborate with other professionals, including psychologists, social workers, and healthcare providers, to deliver holistic care.
Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and treatment outcomes in compliance with organizational policies.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Experience
A degree in psychology, social work, or a related field is required; advanced degrees are preferred.
Previous experience working in behavioral health settings is highly desirable.
Familiarity with art therapy techniques is a plus.
Knowledge of psychopharmacology principles and practices is essential.
Experience addressing gender issues in counseling settings is advantageous.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $39.80 - $50.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
