Marine Technician

Company Description Rinker’s Boat World has been in the Houston area for almost 50 years. We are family owned and operated. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role located in Houston, TX. The Marine Technician will be responsible for performing maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of boats and marine equipment. Daily tasks include identifying and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and motor-related issues; conducting routine inspections; and ensuring all repairs meet quality and safety standards. The Marine Technician will also communicate effectively with customers to explain repairs and maintenance performed on their vessels. Qualifications Experience with Yamaha Outboards, Mercruiser and Volvo Penta enginesProficiency in maintenance and repair, with a focus on quality workmanshipKnowledge of motors and engine systems, with the ability to perform diagnostics and repairsExperience with electrical wiring and diagnosing electrical system issuesPrevious experience in a marine or navy-related role is a plusStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailEffective communication skills for collaborating with team members and interacting with customersWillingness to work on-site in Houston, TXRelevant certifications or technical training in marine mechanics or related fields is preferred
