In this role, you will be involved in the design and engineering of critical building systems, particularly focusing on fire protection systems for commercial properties. This position provides the opportunity to learn specialized skills in fire protection while working with a team of experienced engineers in a company that fosters continued learning and professional development.\nOur company offers significant growth opportunities. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to advance into a senior technical role, with the potential to move into engineering management and eventually lead an entire department.\nRole Responsibilities:\nDesign and engineer building systems with a focus on fire protection, ensuring compliance with fire codes and regulations.\nCreate detailed CAD designs, hydraulic calculations, and final engineering drawings for client projects.\nCollaborate with architects, contractors, and engineers to address project specifications and technical challenges.\nConduct site visits as needed to ensure compliance with design specifications and project requirements.\nContribute to developing and maintaining CAD libraries and design standards.\nMentor junior designers and engineers, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration.\nEngage with external stakeholders, including plan reviewers and city engineers, to resolve technical challenges.\nRole Requirements:\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Fire Protection Engineering, or a related field.\nProficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software.\nStrong communication and collaboration skills.\nEagerness to learn fire protection engineering and grow within the company.\nAbility to manage multiple projects and work both independently and as part of a team.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience in commercial building construction and system design.\nNICET certification or desire to pursue it.\nExperience with building utilities such as HVAC, electrical, or plumbing systems.\nPrior experience in fire protection design or related fields is a plus.\nCompensation and Benefits:\nSalary: $90,000 - $105,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.\nBenefits: Comprehensive health coverage, paid time off (PTO), 401(k) plan, and opportunities for career advancement.\nTraining: Ongoing professional development and paid on-the-job training.\nTruly hybrid work flexibility with the opportunity to work in-office or remotely.\nContact: Daniel Price\nPrincipal\nEmail: dprice@efs1.com\nEngineered Fire Systems is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
