Medcor is seeking a Part-Time Physician to provide hands-on Urgent Care and Occupational Medicine services at our onsite employer-based clinic in Waterloo, IA. This role offers a highly predictable schedule, meaningful clinical work, and a supportive team-based environment.ScheduleTuesday: 5:00 AM - 11:00 AMWednesday: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PMTotal Hours: 12 hours per weekNo nights, weekends, or callRelocation package providedScope of ServicesThe clinic provides a broad range of onsite services, including:Episodic and urgent careLimited primary careDiagnosis and treatment of workers compensation injuries and illnessesRegulatory exams and preventive servicesBasic point-of-care lab workLimited on-site prescription dispensingKey Duties & ResponsibilitiesProvide medical direction for the clinics PA/NP practiceConsult with the clinics PA or NP as neededSupport PA/NP education and professional developmentDeliver outpatient-level occupational medicine servicesConduct medical surveillanceAssess and treat work-related injuries and illnessesProvide urgent care for non-work-related injuries and illnessesPerform fit-for-duty evaluationsProvide initial stabilization for patients requiring higher-level care or EMS transferConduct pre-placement evaluationsPerform DOT physicalsApply MD Guidelines successfully in daily practicePractice Plan RequirementsPA model: Physician and PA will execute and file a practice plan compliant with the applicable state boardNP model: Physician and NP will execute a collaboration agreementMedcor practice plan agreements are used when no state-specific template existsRequired QualificationsValid, unrestricted medical license in both Illinois and IowaOne of the following backgrounds:Double board certified in Occupational Medicine and a Primary Care specialty (IM, FM, EM)Board certified in Occupational Medicine with extensive orthopedic, urgent care, and/or primary care experienceBoard certified in Internal Medicine or Family Practice with Sports Medicine fellowship trainingBoard certified in Emergency Medicine with strong orthopedic skills and experience in occupational and primary careCurrent, unrestricted DEA registration and applicable state-controlled substance registrationBLS certificationDOT certificationOccupational health and Workers Compensation experienceAbility to lift a 30 lb jump bag/backpackPreferred Skills & ExperienceComfort and efficiency with EMR systemsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsClinical leadership experienceManaged care experienceCollaborative mindset with a strong commitment to customer serviceMedcor PhilosophyAt Medcor, we follow the Quadruple AimImproving the patient experienceImproving population healthReducing healthcare costsEnhancing provider well-being and work-life satisfactionMedcor is a tobacco-free and smoke-free workplaceMedcor will never ask candidates to pay money, cash checks, or share financial information during the hiring process.
