MS Track and Field Coach
Middle School Track & Field CoachWoodstock Union Middle School is seeking a positive, organized, and student-focused Middle School Track & Field Coach to lead and develop our interscholastic track and field program. The coach will be responsible for teaching fundamental track and field skills, promoting sportsmanship, and fostering teamwork, confidence, and personal growth among student-athletes.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and conduct safe, engaging, and age-appropriate practices focused on skill development and physical conditioningTeach fundamental techniques for track and field events (running, jumping, throwing, relays, etc.)Supervise student-athletes during practices, meets, transportation, and other team activitiesEmphasize sportsmanship, respect, teamwork, and personal responsibilityPrepare athletes for interscholastic competition and manage meet participationCommunicate effectively with students, parents/guardians, athletic director, and school staffMaintain accurate attendance, equipment inventory, and eligibility recordsEnsure compliance with school, district, and league policies and safety guidelinesServe as a positive role model and uphold the values of Woodstock Union Middle SchoolQualificationsExperience coaching or participating in track and field or related athletic programsExperience working with middle school–aged students preferredStrong organizational, communication, and leadership skillsKnowledge of age-appropriate training methods and athlete safetyAbility to create an inclusive and supportive environment for all studentsCPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)Required background checks per district policyCompensationStipend position; $1,500-$2,200Work Location: In person
