Manufacturing Manager - CNC, Welding & Cleanroom Operations (Pittsburgh, PA)Kurt J. Lesker Company (KJLC) is hiring a Manufacturing Manager to lead our U.S. production operations. This role is responsible for all production operations including CNC machining, welding/fabrication, and cleanroom manufacturing, with full ownership of shop floor performance, team leadership, and continuous improvement. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on operational execution, safety, quality, and throughput in a high-mix, low volume manufacturing environment.Responsibilities:Manage manufacturing operations across CNC machining, welding, and cleanroom productionLead and develop a high-performing team of supervisors, machinists, welders, and technicians to drive performance and growthManage operational budgets, capital equipment, and resource planningDrive production output, efficiency, and on-time deliveryOwn safety, quality, and compliance across all manufacturing areasIdentify and resolve production issues using data-driven problem solvingChampion Lean manufacturing, 6S, and continuous improvement initiativesPartner with engineering and supply chain to meet business goalsQualifications:10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience (manager, plant manager, or similar)Experience in Lean manufacturing, 6S, CAPA, and process improvementProven track record of improving productivity, quality, and cost performanceAbility to lead teams, drive accountability, and develop talentBachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience)Strong problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skillsWillingness to travel up to 10%Preferred:Strong background in CNC machining and/or welding/fabrication environmentsJob shop or high-mix/low-volume manufacturingCleanroom manufacturing or precision componentsManufacturing finance or cost controlExperience working in a global or multi-site environmentAbout KJLCKurt J.
