Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Project & Supply Chain Manager to support the management of projects and supply chain activities for industrial composting machines. The ideal candidate will assist in coordinating project timelines, overseeing procurement and logistics, and working closely with engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical and electrical/PLC systems. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain experience in project management, NPI, and supply chain coordination within a specialized industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Support: Assist in managing projects related to the development and production of industrial composting machines. Help track project timelines, budgets, and milestones, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule.
Supply Chain Coordination: Assist in coordinating supply chain activities, including procurement of components, supplier communication, and logistics management. Help ensure that materials and components are delivered on time and meet project specifications.
NPI Assistance: Support the New Product Introduction (NPI) process by coordinating with cross-functional teams, ensuring that new products are integrated smoothly into the manufacturing process.
Mechanical Engineering Collaboration: Work closely with mechanical engineering teams to understand design requirements and assist in sourcing the necessary components and materials.
Electrical/PLC Systems Support: Collaborate with teams responsible for electrical and PLC systems, ensuring the timely procurement and integration of these components into composting machines.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain project and supply chain documentation, including status reports, procurement records, and project schedules. Assist in preparing reports for senior management.
Quality Assurance: Help monitor the quality of sourced components and materials, ensuring they meet the required standards for mechanical and electrical systems.
Vendor Relations: Assist in managing relationships with suppliers and vendors, helping to resolve any issues related to delivery schedules, quality, or costs.
Continuous Improvement: Contribute ideas for improving project management and supply chain processes, helping to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Qualifications:
Education: Preferred but not necessary to be considered for this role - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: 1-3 years of experience in project management, supply chain, or a related field. Internships or co-op experience in a relevant industry is a plus.
Technical Skills:
Basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles and electrical/PLC systems.
Familiarity with supply chain management processes, including procurement and logistics.
Exposure to NPI processes and product development is beneficial.
Project Management: Basic knowledge of project management principles and tools. Familiarity with software like Microsoft Project or similar tools is a plus.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Analytical Skills: Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Ability to analyze data and assist in making informed decisions.
Organization: Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Additional Requirements:
Eagerness to learn and develop skills in project management and supply chain within a technical environment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with guidance from senior team members.
Willingness to occasionally travel for site visits, supplier meetings, and training.
