Staff Accountant

I have a long term contract opportunity for one of our global Consumer Packaged Good companies seeking a Staff Accountant. This role will report to an Accounting Manager and work on day-to-day GL accounting. The role will also be responsible for preparation of balance sheet accounts reconciliation and income statement flux analysis, managing payment status for state and local taxes, and working on complex accounting projects within an international multicurrency environment.Rate is flexible depending on experience ($50-$80/hr)*** Netsuite experience is preferred ***RESPONSIBILITIESPrepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing financial transactions and recordsMaintain and balance accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions and resolving discrepanciesMaintain the general ledger by reviewing trial balance and preparing reconciling entriesParticipate in general ledger accounting, including month end close, prepaids, expense accruals, flux analysis and reportingAssist with the identification and improvement of controls and processesSummarize financial status by collecting informationAssist in the preparation of the balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statementsAssist with external audits by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts; prepare information for auditorsProvide support in complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with managementCollaborate with internal and external departments to support company objectives and key results (OKRs)Ad hoc responsibilities and reports as neededQUALIFICATIONSBS degree in accounting or finance requiredMust possess knowledge of GAAPFamiliarity working in a SOX environmentIntermediate to advanced Excel skills, with experience in the heavy use of Pivot TablesStrong analytical and organizational skillsProactive and deadline orientedExcellent communication skills to all levelsComfortable in a fast-paced environmentCollaboration in a team-oriented environment is a crucial component for this roleAble to work independently.Exhibits a roll up your sleeve attitude.Netsuite experience is a plusLori SklarskiSenior Technical Recruiter, PRI TechnologyLori.sklarski@pritechnology.comDirect:(973)-354-2797Office: 973.732.5454 x27Cell: 973.432.9968www.pritechnology.comwww.pritechnology.com
