About the Opportunity
Brilliant Management Resources is seeking a Senior Project Accountant to support a large, complex manufacturing organization during a transition. This role is a highly visible “floater” position, stepping in across multiple accounting functions and supporting key areas of the business as needs arise.
This is an ideal opportunity for a well-rounded senior accountant who thrives in a dynamic environment and can balance core accounting responsibilities with project-based work.
Position Overview:
Support month-end close, with a strong focus on accruals, journal entries, and financial analysis
Prepare and review accruals related to operations and contract labor
Investigate and resolve escalated A/P and vendor-related issues
Perform financial and variance analysis to support plant and corporate teams
Assist with account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data
Support accounting and tracking of contract labor expenses, ensuring proper coding, accruals, and reporting
Act as a cross-functional resource, supporting AP, GL, and reporting as needed
Partner with operations and accounting teams across multiple locations
Support ad hoc projects and process improvements
Provide support across areas, including cost accounting and fixed assets (working knowledge required, not primary focus)
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
5+ years of accounting experience within manufacturing or industrial environments
Strong experience with accruals, month-end close, and financial analysis
Experience supporting or accounting for contract labor / contingent workforce costs
Experience handling A/P issues, vendor inquiries, and problem resolution
Background in large, complex organizations, preferably within a public company environment
Working knowledge of cost accounting and fixed assets
SAP experience strongly preferred
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, project-based role
Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite
