You will own firmware execution end-to-end, contributing directly to products that protect lives in critical industrial environments.\nYou’ll collaborate closely with hardware engineers, product owners, and cross-functional partners, while working in an environment that values engineering rigor, clear documentation, and continuous improvement.\n\nWhat You’ll Do\nTranslate high-level product concepts into robust, maintainable firmware architectures\nCapture and document requirements and rationale for regulated safety-critical products\nCollaborate with hardware engineers on hardware/firmware integration and diagnostic strategies\nPartner with Product Owners and stakeholders to maintain alignment throughout the development lifecycle\nChampion development processes, lead technical reviews, and deliver high-quality, standards-compliant code\nEnsure firmware is well-documented, thoroughly tested, and version-controlled\nPerform unit testing using debuggers, emulators, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers\nDevelop work breakdowns and task estimates to support project planning\nSupport multiple development programs simultaneously\nIdentify risks early and implement firmware-level mitigation strategies\n\nWhat You Bring\nRequired\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or a related field\nProficiency in C\nPreferred (Nice-to-Have)\n2+ years of experience with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS)\nProficiency in C++\nExperience in regulated industries (industrial safety, medical, automotive, etc.)\nKnowledge of embedded system design and asynchronous programming\nExperience with ARM Cortex-M architectures\nHands-on use of debugging tools (JTAG/SWD, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers)\nFamiliarity with communication protocols (UART, I2C, SPI)\nExperience with DevOps tools (e.g., Git)\nExperience delivering firmware across the full product lifecycle\nExposure to FMEAs and risk mitigation in firmware\nStrong communication skills and a collaborative mindset\nSelf-motivated, with a passion for process improvement and engineering excellence\nWhy Join R.C.
