They make architectural decisions based on requirements from product, operations, and the business.\n\nA successful candidate would have extensive knowledge in service provider network design and in-depth knowledge of routing protocols.\nKey Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions\nDesigns and implements solutions for the Flexential colo, cloud, and managed services network infrastructure with high availability and optimal performance\nEvaluates multiple vendors with documented engineering specifications/requirements and test plans in conjunction with overall business strategies\nTroubleshoots and supports complex routing and switching issues and problems\nIntegrates both internal and external solutions into the architecture\nProject management of related projects and their delivery\nEstablishes and documents standards, policies, and procedures\nProvides technical support and training to Operations, Product, and Client Services on all related technologies\nPerforms other job-related duties as required\nRequired Qualifications\nIn-depth understanding of networking protocols such as OSPF, BGP, MPLS, Segment Routing, spanning-tree, EVPN, and FHRP\nFundamental understanding of project management principles to effectively lead projects\nStrong communication skills (oral and written) to align multi-functional teams and objectives and promote team outcomes\nWork with internal clients and partners to understand business needs, offer advice and solutions, and operating from a position of expertise balanced with a collaborative approach\nAbility to balance requirements from the business and operations with insight to industry trends to facilitate solutions that deliver ongoing capabilities\nExcellent analytical, problem solving, organizational, and time management skills.\nDesire to grow and learn new technologies\nKnowledge of change management practices\nExtensive experience with IPv4 and IPv6 addressing\nExtensive experience working with Cisco IOS-XR\nWork effectively in a dynamic and changing environment\nStrong commitment to customer service\nSelf-motivation and ability to work with minimum supervision\nGood decision-making abilities a must\nFlexibility to Support 24/7/365 operations\nPreferred Qualifications\nSome programming language and fundamental knowledge (Python, Perl, etc.)\nBA/BS education\nService provider experience\nProfessional level network certifications (CCIE, JNCIE)\nBase Pay Range\nAnnualized salary range offered for this position is estimated to be ($134,284.00- $164,000).
