We want to crush the competition and be the best contract manufacturing partner on those jobs where we drive the greatest impact with our decidedly better high-volume molding efficiencies.\r\nJob SummaryThe Tool and Mold Maker is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mold tooling to support high-volume production molding operations.\r\nEssential Functions:\r\nPerform preventative maintenance including lubricating, cleaning, polishing, and deburring of molds and related components\r\nRepair molds to support production demand and the manufacturing machine operators\r\nWorks with Sr. Tool and Mold Maker on disassembly, repair, and re-assembly of heated manifolds, runners, water lines, cores, cams, and ejector pins\r\nFabricate and build mold components such as ejector pins or blades\r\nFollow blueprints and engineering drawings to determine dimensions and tolerances\r\nSet up and operate tool room equipment, including manual mills, lathes, and grinders\r\nUse a variety of tool maker and machine tools\r\nUse a variety of precision toolmaker measuring instruments\r\nParticipate in mold and design for manufacturability reviews\r\nMaintains organized work area to maximize efficiency and safety\r\nWork independently with no supervision\r\nOther duties as assigned\r\nQualifications, Education, Skills, and/or Experience RequiredHigh School Diploma/GED Required\r\n3 years of previous relevant experience required (CNC, Swiss, Mold Making, etc)\r\nPrevious machining experience maintaining plastic injection molds and related tooling preferred\r\nExperience in setup and operation of manual mills, lathes, and grinders preferred\r\nCNC machinist experience preferred but not required\r\nPhysical Requirements:\r\nAble to lift up to 40 pounds\r\nStanding, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting, pushing-pulling, and reaching throughout the entire shift.\r\nManual dexterity or fine motor skills\r\nAbility to operate heavy machinery\r\nWe are an equal employment opportunity employer.
