At Soltek we are committed to providing exceptional customer service as well as fostering employee growth in a safe and rewarding environment.\n\nThe Project Engineer will get the opportunity to work on a fast paced project with an emphasis on pavement and utility demolition, earthwork, and new site utilities. This project consists of a new steel framed building, renovation of six existing buildings, and a whole site modernization.\n\nPosition Summary:\nThe role of the Project Engineer is to support the jobsite management team. The Project Engineer may report to either the Senior Project Engineer and/or the Project Manager.\n\nEssential Duties of the Project Engineer role include but are not limited to:\n\nSupport the field with Materials Management (submittals, shop drawings, and expediting material deliveries).\n\nCreate and track RFIs.\n\nAssist with gathering data for the monthly Owner Pay Application and Margin Analysis.\n\nParticipate in the jobsite safety meetings, weekly safety audits, etc.\n\nFacilitate and/or participate in Preparatory Meetings, Initial Inspections, Follow-up Inspections, etc.\n\nMay perform other duties as required.\n\nTo be successful in this role, a qualified candidate will:\n\nBachelor degree in construction related field.\n\nOne year of construction related experience.\n\nEquivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.\n\nStrong communication skills, written and verbal.\n\nProficient in MS Office Suite with emphasis on Excel.\n\nKnowledge of Project Management Software including Procore or equivalent is preferred.\n\nFamiliar with the use of Bluebeam\n\nStrong attention to detail.\n\nAbility to work with all types of personalities.\n\nEEO\nAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identify, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.\n\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\n\nWalking and standing – regularly\n\nUsing computer, office tools and equipment – regularly\n\nKneeling, stooping, bending – occasionally\n\nClimbing or crawling – occasionally\n\nLifting, pushing or pulling up to 50 lbs. – occasionally\n\nWORKING ENVIRONMENT:\nThe primary working environment is split between an indoor office environment and an outdoor construction jobsite setting, with hazards all around.\n\nEmployees in this environment will be exposed to many types of hazards including but not limited to: heavy machinery, power tools, loud noises, flying objects, debit, and extreme weather.\n\nEmployees must always follow all company and industry safety standards and requirements while working in this environment.
