Build, manage, and grow strong relationships with wholesale brokers and agent partners to drive profitable business flow.\nOwn outcomes. Navigate the full underwriting lifecycle from start to finish, ensuring fast, accurate turnaround on every deal while using technology‑enabled workflows and underwriting tools to improve efficiency, reduce noise, and accelerate decision‑making.\nOperate like an owner. Help scale Kinetic’s construction program from the ground up by establishing strong underwriting practices early and driving efficiency as the business line grows.\nShape the platform. Partner with Engineering, Product, and Operations to design and implement tools that make program underwriting in surplus lines smoother and smarter.\nWhat you’ll need 7+ years of underwriting experience in a carrier, MGA, or MGU and a strong record of success in E&S underwriting.\nConstruction expertise. Ample experience underwriting construction risks, including project excess liability, wrap‑ups, and contractor business.\nComfort building relationships. Strong existing relationships across the wholesale distribution marketplace and a track record of building trusted agent and broker partnerships.\nTechnical competency. Deep technical coverage expertise and the ability to evaluate exclusions, limitations, endorsements, and pricing with confidence.\nActive home state general and surplus lines licenses, preferred.\nFast‑paced execution. Excel in high pressure and high‑volume environments, generating quotes and servicing policies at speed without sacrificing quality.\nClear communicator. Write crisply, speak clearly, and can adapt tone between agents, carriers, and teammates.\nOrganized and accountable. Ability to multitask and remain attentive to detail while balancing multiple priorities. Not dropping the ball.\nIndependent operator.
