IMS is committed to safety, quality, reliability, and operational excellence across all areas of the business.\n\nPOSITION OVERVIEW:\nResponsible for moving materials within the warehouse during different stages of the order fulfillment process, such as, but not limited to, receiving, stocking, pulling to process (including operating various types of saws and shears and processing equipment), packaging, and loading onto transports. Utilizes a variety of saws, shears, and processing equipment in conjunction with preparing and completing orders. Responsible for good housekeeping and performing all duties in a safe and mindful manner. Provides excellent, professional, and responsive customer service, promptly and courteously assisting customers with purchases and the efficient processing of all orders. Performs related work as required.\n\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nInteracts and communicates with customers and fellow employees in a friendly and professional manner.\n\nFollows all Company Safety Rules.\n\nHas knowledge of company products and materials and knows material locations in warehouse facilities.\n\nLocates and safely pulls the material indicated on work orders using the appropriate material handling equipment. (i.e., forklifts, order picker, etc.).\n\nVerifies the size of materials with the use of calipers, tape measure, and/or color-coding system.\n\nConfirms that pulled material meets Company quality standards.\n\nDocuments material pulled using established Company procedures.\n\nUnderstands and uses the proper tagging process.\n\nAssists in stocking materials and storing materials in accordance with Company policies.\n\nUnderstands the significance of a “Heat” and “Lot” Number and the proper way to handle and identify materials with stocking tags.\n\nEnsures that materials of the same grade are stored properly.\n\nUses proper packaging procedures for different types of material.\n\nComprehends and follows information contained on work orders, including special instructions, to ensure proper order fulfillment.\n\nSafely operates all cutting equipment, such as, but not limited to, Skil and wood saws.\n\nCarries out all responsibilities in an honest, ethical and professional manner.\n\nPerforms general housekeeping and other duties as required.\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\nMust be 18 years and older\n\nExperience of 6 months to 1 year in material handling preferred in a metal manufacturing environment.\n\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\n\nGood communication and interpersonal skills.\n\nPhysical Requirements:\n\nAbility to regularly lift and carry heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds.\n\nFrequent standing, walking, bending, and stooping throughout the shift.\n\nAbility to work in a noisy, industrial environment with exposure to heat, cold, and metal dust.\n\nManual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination for handling materials and operating equipment.\n\nAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditions as needed.\n\nComfortable working in a fast-paced environment with attention to safety.\n\nAdditionally, the ability to hear and interpret auditory signals, alarms, and communication is essential to ensure safety and effective performance in this role.\n\nLIFE AT IMS\nThe Company strongly believes that the more diverse our team, the better our work will be.
