Our passion for children’s literature shines through all our products & services.\nWe are seeking a talented and experienced Warehouse Manager to join the warehouse team. This vital role will manage a team of 30+ seasoned warehouse professionals supporting two of our iconic brands, Junior Library Guild and AKJ Education.\nThe Warehouse Manager will report to the Senior Warehouse Manager and is responsible for overseeing warehouse activities including shipping, receiving and inventory control. People management responsibilities include hiring of new employees, coaching and mentoring personnel, conducting performance evaluations, and adjusting staffing for seasonal changes.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:\nImproves operational efficiency and performancethroughprocess improvement, effective shift planning and performance management\nDrives inventory accuracy improvement by helping implement Inventory Control processes and developing cycle count strategies\nManageswarehouse team, including training, development, coaching, discipline and performance reviews.\nEnsureswarehouse operational production requirements are met by reviewing staffing plans, scheduling employees and tracking performance\nBuilds a culture that centers safety, integrity and respect for the individual\nQualifications:\n2+ years of warehouse management experience, with a track record of success in a leadership role.\nStrong understanding of warehouse operations, distribution, and inventory management.\nProven experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS); experience with Korber WMS is highly desirable.\nFamiliarity with SAP Business One (SAP B1) is a significant advantage.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nWho You Are:\nDetail-oriented, you are able to prioritize your work, set and meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.\nSelf-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment.\nYou take ownership, are an inventive problem solver, and have a high level of accountability.\nYou have the ability to multi-task and are easily able to transition from project to project; able and willing to “roll your sleeves up” and get the job done.\nAbility to clearly communicate complex information and data analyses.\nWorks well with others and finds fulfilment in service to others.\nWhy Join Us:\nOpportunity to lead in a brand-new, state-of-the-art warehouse.\nCompetitive compensation package.\nComprehensive benefits including health, dental, and retirement plans.\nCollaborative and innovative work environment.\nCareer growth opportunities within a growing organization.\nAbout JLG:\nJLG delivers the best new books to school and public libraries each month and we have been doing this for well over a century.
