Top Nice to have Skills: CCNA, Microsoft 365 certifiedInterview Process1st round virtual or phone 2nd round in-personJob SummaryThis role provides on-site support for the provision and maintenance of DCS Information Technology (IT) services within the assigned Data Center environment. Serves as the first responder to investigate any issues or concerns relating to Data Center systems. Activities typically include: conducting fault diagnostics/rectifying hardware failures and network channel connectivity; installing, relocating, and decommissioning of IT equipment (servers, switches, routers etc); cable installation, hardware upgrades, and replacing failed components; and, overall general maintenance & housekeeping of the DCS IT services and white space and storage rooms. Work under general supervision.Essential Duties and Responsibilities• Perform select tasks under general supervision for hardware installations (rack / stack) and cable installations (routing, terminating, patch & structured cabling), including troubleshooting and testing. Perform hardware decommissions and cable removal. • Perform select tasks under general supervision coordinating IT asset redundant power requirements with appropriate facilities staff to ensure proper load balance and fail-over capacity to avoid cascading failures. • Prepare and coordinate incoming/outgoing shipments. Compare packing lists with purchase details to ensure accurate make, model, and quantities are received and processed. • Perform select tasks under general supervision for remote hands support (e.g. power cycles, physical environment, and cabling inspections, swap out failed components, hardware upgrades, testing of copper and fiber cables, handling storage media, and enter troubleshooting commands). • Grant site access to vendors and/or escort 3rd parties requiring Data Center access for approved activities and ensure their compliance with site standards. • Carry out daily housekeeping checks of the data halls, and record findings. • Track and maintain adequate spares and consumables levels. • Perform physical audits and ensures the Service/Asset Management database is updated and accurate. • Perform select tasks under general supervision for Support Service Management and related processes (e.g., Service Request, Incident, Change) by creating, updating, approving, and closing associated assigned tickets. • Ability to follow established MOP's, SOP's, EOP's as well as participate in preparation and ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are always prepared and used for all tasks undertaken to ensure safe working practices at all times. • Ensure the provision of a Safe and Healthy working environment. To include the wearing of applicable uniform at all times, PPE where required, and complete all required and assigned QHSE training at a satisfactory level. • Collaborate and maintain business relationships in order to meet and exceed client expectations with respect to business as usual and project activities. • Able to work independently as a part of a larger team in a global organization. • Able to multitask in high pressure situations and take ownership of daily & project tasks from planning, deployment, and post-deployment support • Shift work (day, evening, overnight, and weekend), On-call responsibilities and emergency (after hours) response on a rotational basis may be required • Other responsibilities related to a different function may occasionally or permanently be assigned.
