Au pairs are assigned a local coordinator who provides mentorship and guidance in the USA.\nWhat do local coordinators do?\nLocal Coordinators support American host families and their international au pairs during their 12-month program year together.\nLC' s are responsible to monitor the placement of the au pair and provide customer service to the host family while upholding program rules and regulations.\nLocal Coordinator Primary Responsibilities\nUphold the U.S. Department of State Au Pair Regulations and philosophies\nInitiate monthly personal contact with each au pair and host family\nMaintain a record of monthly contact and a monthly communication log\nInterview host family members in their home prior to au pair arrival\nProvide feedback on the host’s Household Guide to set them up for a successful program\nVideo call the au pair within 48 hours of arrival to ensure their safe arrival\nFacilitate the agency’s orientation process with the host family and the au pair within the first two weeks of arrival\nConduct fun, engaging monthly meetings your au pair cluster and provide a report with communication logs\nAnswer common questions as the main point person for program participants\nFollow our conflict resolution process in case of potential problems\nHelp resolve challenges with empathy and professionalism\nPromote agency programs within personal networks and community groups\nRefer families to host and earn a $500 referral bonus! *restrictions apply\nThe Ideal Candidate\n25+ years old\nMust submit and pass a background check\nMust be a U.S. citizen or legally authorized to work in the United States\nDriver’s License and access to a personal vehicle\nWithin 1 hour of your listed job posting location\nTech-savvy (Zoom, WhatsApp, email) with access to WiFi, smartphone, and a vehicle\nFlexible evening and weekend availability\nWilling to commit to the position for a minimum of one (1) year\nComfortable working as an independent contractor\nBackground in education, ESL, social work, childcare, or parenting is a plus\nPassionate about cultural exchange\nEnglish language proficiency: bi-lingual is a plus but not required\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nCompensation\nThis is a part-time, contract-based role with flexible earning potential.
