This role ensures maintenance work is completed on schedule to maximize equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and support production objectives while maintaining compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.\r\nThe Processing Maintenance Supervisor provides daily leadership to maintenance personnel, coordinates contractors and vendors, manages maintenance resources, and supports continuous improvement initiatives. This position is accountable for achieving departmental performance goals related to safety, equipment availability, maintenance execution, quality, and cost while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence.\r\nPosition ResponsibilitiesSafety & Compliance:Promote and enforce compliance with all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including MSHA standards.\r\nMaintenance Execution:Plan, coordinate, and supervise preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities for fixed plant equipment.\r\nWork Management:Ensure maintenance work orders are properly planned, executed, documented, and closed in a timely manner.\r\nEquipment Reliability:Monitor equipment performance and implement maintenance strategies that improve reliability, reduce downtime, and support production targets.\r\nPlanning & Scheduling:Support the development and execution of short-term and long-term maintenance plans, shutdown schedules, and outage activities.\r\nResource Management:Allocate labor, equipment, and materials to meet maintenance priorities while maintaining cost-effective operations.\r\nContractor Oversight:Coordinate and supervise contractors, vendors, and service providers to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards.\r\nInventory & Materials:Monitor spare parts inventory, critical spares, and material availability to support maintenance activities.\r\nBudget Support:Monitor departmental spending and provide input into maintenance budgeting and cost control initiatives.\r\nLeadership & Development:Supervise, coach, mentor, and develop maintenance technicians to improve technical skills, productivity, and overall team performance.\r\nPerformance Management:Establish clear expectations, conduct performance evaluations, provide ongoing coaching, and identify training needs.\r\nField Leadership:Maintain a strong field presence to verify work quality, reinforce safe work practices, and address operational issues in real time.\r\nContinuous Improvement:Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes, equipment performance, reliability, and operating costs through best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.\r\nCross-Functional Collaboration:Work closely with operations, engineering, planning, procurement, and other departments to support production and maintenance objectives.\r\nReporting & Documentation:Prepare and maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance reports, KPI tracking, and maintenance records.\r\nComputer Systems:Utilize SAP and Microsoft Office applications to manage work orders, maintenance records, inventory, and reporting.\r\nValues & Culture:Demonstrate and promote company values while fostering a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and responsible work practices.\r\nPosition RequirementsRequiredMinimum of 5 years of industrial processing or fixed plant mechanical maintenance experience.\r\nDemonstrated knowledge of maintenance principles, equipment reliability, and best practices for fixed plant processing equipment.\r\nProven ability to plan, coordinate, and execute maintenance activities in a mining or heavy industrial environment.\r\nStrong leadership, communication, and team development skills.\r\nExperience managing contractors and vendor relationships.\r\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.\r\nValid driver's license.\r\nAbility to speak, read, write, and understand English.\r\nPreferredThree or more years of maintenance supervisory or leadership experience.\r\nExperience using SAP or similar computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).\r\nMechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering background.\r\nExperience supporting continuous improvement, reliability engineering, lean maintenance, or asset management initiatives.\r\nPrevious experience in mining, mineral processing, or other heavy industrial operations.\r\nWork Environment / Physical DemandsApproximately 70% field work and 30% office work.\r\nRegularly walk on uneven ground, elevated platforms, stairs, and industrial work areas.\r\nFrequently work around operating processing equipment and heavy machinery.\r\nAbility to climb ladders and access elevated work areas.\r\nAbility to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.\r\nAbility to bend, stoop, kneel, squat, and work in confined spaces as required.\r\nAbility to work in hot, cold, dusty, and humid industrial environments.\r\nMust be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).\r\nMay be required to respond to maintenance issues outside of normal working hours.\r\nAll candidates will be required to complete a pre-employment medical exam, drug and alcohol test, and background check. All positions require a pre-placement physical examination to ensure candidates are 'fit for duty'. Additional training and/or testing may be required.
