The position requires a BS and 10+ years of experience. Candidates with 15+ years of experience may apply without a degree.\r\nThe position is located at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)'s William J. Hughes Technical Center adjacent to the Atlantic City International Airport, New Jersey. The role requires 3 days onsite / 2 remote.\r\nResponsibilities\r\nDesigns and evaluates end-to-end systems through their entire life cycle\r\nConducts comprehensive technology research to evaluate potential vulnerabilities in cyberspace systems\r\nHeading and implementing Oracle Linux Virtual Manager to replace VMWare\r\nBuilding KVM hosts and oracle linux virtual manager host\r\nImplementing Stig patches on the environment to comply with the FAA standards\r\nArchitecting and installing new products to replace old antiquated software\r\nConducts risk assessment and provides recommendations for application design\r\nInstalling and configuring Oracle Goldengate into environments\r\nIntegrate new architectural features into existing infrastructures, designs cybersecurity architectural artifacts, provides architectural analysis and relates existing system to future needs and trends, embeds advanced forensic tools and techniques for attack reconstruction, provides engineering recommendations and resolves integration/testing issues\r\nCoordinates system development to include design, modeling, security, integration, and formal testing\r\nContributes to completion of specific engineering programs and projects\r\nDevelops solutions to a variety of complex engineering problems\r\nPerform complex systems design, development, and integration from the start of a systems life cycle to the end\r\nOversees complex infrastructure including installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools\r\nPerforms complex systems modeling, simulation, and analysis\r\nPerforms continual maintenance and provides complex solutions for security, backup, and redundancy problems\r\nPrepares and maintains documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projects\r\nAssist senior engineers and field service engineering staff\r\nCreate and maintain system architecture and troubleshooting documentation\r\nMonitor, analyze, & report information on system performance; identify inefficiencies, issues, and bottlenecks\r\nPrepare plans and assessments, such as management engineering plans, integrated support plans, meeting presentations and implementation plans\r\nDevelop integrated system requirements and proposed design solutions\r\nResearch and documents analysis in technical reports and presents findings and recommendations to meet program requirements\r\nAnticipate and addresses problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms\r\nQualifications\r\nAdvanced Linux experience\r\nExperience utilizing systems engineering and work management tools such as Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS)\r\nAnalytical and problem-solving skills\r\nInterpersonal skills to interact with team members and customers\r\nAbility to travel when needed\r\nDependable\r\nMust be US Citizen or Permanent Resident\r\nBenefits\r\nSST offers competitive salaries and 100% paid benefits including health, vision, & dental insurance that start day one. 401K with match.
