The Mail Clerk will be responsible for opening, sorting, tracking, and distributing incoming correspondence while maintaining accurate records and ensuring documents are routed to the appropriate units in a timely manner.\nThis position also involves document retrieval, database searches, data entry, and reviewing documentation for accuracy and acceptability.\nKey Responsibilities\nOpen, sort, and process all incoming mail on a daily basis.\nDistribute incoming mail to the appropriate units throughout the office.\nCheck in opened mail three times each day to ensure timely processing and distribution.\nMaintain a daily count of all mail received.\nPlace processed mail into the appropriate distribution bins for routing to assigned units.\nAssist staff with document retrieval requests.\nSearch the corporate database according to established search guidelines for documents submitted by customers and service companies.\nReview database search results and print exact or similar records identified.\nPerform data entry of various documents into the Cenuity system.\nReview associated documentation for accuracy, completeness, and acceptability before processing.\nMaintain an organized, clean, and efficient mail processing area.\nEnsure incoming correspondence is handled accurately and delivered to the appropriate department or unit in a timely manner.\nFollow established procedures and guidelines for mail handling, document processing, database searches, and data entry.\nMaintain confidentiality and exercise care when handling sensitive or customer-related documentation.\n\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred.\nPrevious experience in mailroom, clerical, administrative, data entry, or document processing work preferred.\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy.\nBasic computer and data entry skills.\nAbility to search databases and follow established procedures.\nAbility to handle repetitive tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy.\nStrong organizational and time-management skills.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nProfessional communication skills and a dependable work ethic.\nAbility to handle confidential documents appropriately.\nPreferred Skills\nExperience with database systems and document management systems.\nExperience performing data entry and document verification.\nFamiliarity with office mail processing and distribution procedures.\nAbility to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced office environment.\nPosition Highlights\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an organized and reliable clerical professional to gain experience in mail processing, document management, database research, and data entry while supporting the daily operations of a professional Albany office.\n\nIf interested in exploring this great opportunity, please apply directly at https://search10.smartsearchonline.com/datrose/jobs/\nVeterans are encouraged to apply.\n\nDatrose is an equal opportunity employer.
