The ideal candidate has at least two years of experience working directly with hardware in a laboratory, manufacturing, engineering, or test environment and is comfortable using basic Linux commands and tools.This is a highly hands-on position for someone who enjoys *building, testing, troubleshooting, and figuring out why hardware isn't working as expected*. The successful candidate will work closely with engineers to execute test procedures, collect and analyze test data, troubleshoot hardware issues, and document results.\n\n*Responsibilities:*\n\n* Set up, configure, and test electronic hardware, assemblies, and prototype systems.\n* Execute hardware and system-level test procedures and document test results.\n* Troubleshoot hardware, electrical, and system-level issues using established procedures and test equipment.\n* Use basic Linux command-line tools to configure systems, run test applications/scripts, review logs, and troubleshoot issues.\n* Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, block diagrams, and system drawings.\n* Use common laboratory test equipment such as:\n* Digital multimeters (DMM)\n* Oscilloscopes\n* Power supplies\n* Signal generators\n* Electronic loads\n* Network/test equipment\n* Perform cable, connector, continuity, power, signal, and functional testing.\n* Assist engineers with hardware integration and system bring-up.\n* Identify, isolate, and document hardware failures and anomalies.\n* Record test data and maintain accurate test documentation.\n* Assist with prototype assembly, modification, and rework as needed.\n* Support troubleshooting of communication interfaces, power systems, embedded hardware, and electronic components.\n* Follow established test procedures, safety requirements, and configuration-control processes.\n* Communicate test results and technical issues clearly to engineering teams.\n* Work directly with software developers, system engineers, and technical leads to coordinate testing and integration activities.\n* Support additional hardware integration, testing, and field-testing activities as required.\n\n*Required Qualifications*\n\n* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field *OR equivalent hands-on technical experience*.\n* *Minimum of 2 years of hands-on hardware testing, electronics testing, hardware integration, or related experience.*\n* Experience testing electronic or electromechanical hardware.\n* Basic Linux experience, including familiarity with the command line, file systems, processes, logs, and basic troubleshooting.\n* Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and system/block diagrams.\n* Experience using basic electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, or signal generators.\n* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\n* Ability to follow detailed test procedures while recognizing and investigating unexpected results.\n* Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document test results.\n* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, hands-on engineering environment.\n* Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance, if required.\n\n*Preferred Qualifications*\n\n* Experience testing RF, communications, embedded, aerospace, defense, or mission-critical hardware.\n* Experience with hardware/software integration and system bring-up.\n* Experience troubleshooting embedded systems.\n* Familiarity with serial interfaces such as UART, RS-232/422/485, SPI, or I2C.\n* Familiarity with Ethernet and TCP/IP networking.\n* Experience using Linux-based test systems.\n* Basic scripting experience in Bash or Python.\n* Experience with Git or other version-control systems.\n* Experience with automated test equipment or hardware test automation.\n* Experience working with prototype or low-volume production hardware.\n* Soldering, cable assembly, connectorization, or basic electronics rework experience.\n* Previous experience supporting DoD, aerospace, or government programs.\n\n*Work Environment & Expectations*\n\n* This position supports a *fast-paced, mission-focused development environment* with multiple concurrent priorities and demanding schedules.\n* The successful candidate must be comfortable operating in a high-demand environment where priorities can shift quickly based on customer, program, or operational needs.\n* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision is essential.
