Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting common areas, resident rooms, restrooms, and hallways to uphold high standards of hygiene. Conduct floor care procedures such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to maintain durable and attractive surfaces throughout the facility. Manage custodial supplies inventory and ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored. Assist with light maintenance duties including minor repairs, painting residential spaces, and troubleshooting basic facility issues to ensure safety and functionality. Follow established safety protocols during cleaning and maintenance activities to prevent accidents or hazards. Support industrial cleaning tasks when necessary, including deep cleaning of kitchen areas or laundry facilities. Collaborate with team members to coordinate scheduled cleaning routines and emergency clean-up efforts promptly. Requirements Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles within healthcare, residential care facilities, or commercial environments. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care procedures such as buffing and waxing, and use of commercial cleaning equipment. Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning machinery safely. Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices such as basic repairs, painting, and industrial cleaning is preferred. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards in a healthcare setting.
