Northeast Paving is a subsidiary of Eurovia Atlantic Coast, LLC which includes multiple other subsidiaries including Hubbard and Blythe Construction.\nGeneral Description\nThe Project Engineer will develop, manage, and/or execute all phases of the construction cost control effort or the construction planning/scheduling effort for one or more large, complex, and demanding projects. The Project Engineer will provide guidance, direction, and specialized assistance for the resolution of difficult and complex construction project control problems. The Project Engineer will interface with clients, attend meetings, and provide statistical reports as required.\nKey Duties\nAssists Project Manager in formulating and updating project schedule.\nInitiates purchase orders, subcontract agreements and change orders for review by Project Manager.\nTracks weekly production quantities for accurate weekly/monthly cost reports.\nProduces and verifies monthly pay requests with owner.\nProcesses all shop drawings, submittals, and coordinates material deliveries with Project Superintendent.\nResponsible for and verifies all monthly accruals, revenue and costs.\nSchedules the Quality Control Team.\nInteracts w/subcontractors as required.\nResponsible for maintenance of the project schedule including materials, equipment, and subcontractors.\nSchedules and arranges for equipment moves on and off the job.\nDefines/optimizes the means and methods for the project (with the Project Manager).\nEnsures that the administrative and accounting information from the field are reliable.\nParticipates at the final acceptance of the project (with the Project Manager).\nResponsible for maintenance of safe working environment.\nOversees onsite Construction and Field Engineers.\nQualification Requirements\nGeneral -To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each Key Duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nEducation and Experience -\nA college degree in civil engineering or construction management is required, or relevant work experience may be considered.\nProficient PC skills including a proficiency in various software used such as Excel, and SAP.\nFamiliarity with construction industry practices is required.\nMust be able to understand work directions and communicate effectively with project manager and on-site employees.\nStrong oral/written communication and organizational skills.\nAbility to manage and supervise engineering on multiple projects.\nPhysical Demands - The following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by a Project Engineer to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.\nRegularly required to sit and/or stand during a regular work shift of at least eight hours per day.\nEmployee is occasionally required to stoop, bend, walk, crouch, and climb.\nAbility to lift, on a frequent basis, at least 25 pounds and carry up to 15 pounds.\nSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.\nContinuous mental attention required to complete tasks in an efficient manner.\nExposure to dust, dirt grease and noise.\nWork can be performed at heights up to 60 feet, requiring the employee to climb ladders, scaffolds and stair towers, often with narrow steps and passageways.\nFrequently walk on uneven surfaces, including natural ground and slopes in varying weather conditions.\nMust be able to work a flexible schedule, based on project need(s) and demand(s).\nWork Environment - The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those that a Project Engineer encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.\nWork is performed outdoors in all weather conditions.
