Nightwing is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer with strong Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) experience to join our O&M team. This role will be responsible for the design, implementation and testing of cloud-based infrastructure and services, migrating existing infrastructure from on-prem to the cloud, with a focus on Red Hat-based systems across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.\nResponsibilities:\nDesign, deploy, and test scalable, secure cloud infrastructure using Red Hat technologies\nImplement and test IaaS/PaaS solutions on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)\nAutomate provisioning and configuration using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Red Hat Satellite\nCollaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with security standards and policies\nApplying advanced analytical skills and technical resources at the tactical levels and implementing infrastructure solutions supporting command decision making and execution of mission requirements.\nAutomate infrastructure tasks using Ansible, Terraform, or other Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools.\nSupport the implementation of new technologies and equipment in the lab environment.\nStay up-to-date with OpenShift and Kubernetes advancements, providing recommendations for improvements\nExamine and identify efficiencies that can be made to existing procedures, with approval from the customer.\nRequired Skills:\nU.S. Citizenship\nMust have an active DoD Secret clearance, TS/SCI clearance is preferred.\nMust be able to obtain DHS Suitability.\n6+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, Linux Systems Engineer, or similar role.\nExperience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP\nExperience with scripting languages (Bash, Python, etc.)\nDesired Skills:\nProficiency in CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or ArgoCD\nStrong knowledge of Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) administration\nUnderstanding of networking and security best practices in cloud environments\nKnowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)\nRequired Education:\nBS Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Systems Engineering or related degree or HS Diploma and 7+ years lab management or systems administration experience.\nDesired Certifications:\nDoD 8140.01 IAT Level II\n\nSalary & Benefits\n\nThe salary associated with this position ($122,000-$253,000) is commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, and demonstrated level of expertise.
