You'll deliver hands-on coding lessons to students in grades K–8, using Code For Fun's ready-made curriculum - so you can focus on what matters most: making the experience great for kids.\n\nThis is a part-time, in-person position running Monday through Friday during the fall semester.\n\nLocations\n\nPrograms will be held *on-site at partner schools* in the following areas:\n\n* Palo Alto\n* Menlo Park\n* Redwood City\n* Portola Valley\n\n_Specific school sites will be assigned based on availability and scheduling. Instructors must be able to travel independently to their assigned site(s)._\n\nWhat You'll Do\n\n* Deliver engaging coding lessons to students ages 5–14 using Code For Fun lesson plans\n* Build positive relationships with students, parents, and school-site staff\n* Arrive on time and fully prepared — every session, every day\n* Communicate promptly and professionally with the Code For Fun team and parents (email responses expected within 24 hours on school days)\n* Track attendance and report any student or site concerns to your supervisor\n* Make class fun — your energy sets the tone\n\nWhat We're Looking For\n\n*Required:*\n\n* Reliable personal transportation, valid California driver's license, and current auto insurance (you will drive to assigned school sites)\n* Familiarity with programming or computer science concepts (any language or platform is fine — we'll train you on our curriculum)\n* Strong communication skills in English, both with kids and with adults\n* Punctual, dependable, and responsive — if something comes up, you let us know promptly\n* Ability to pass a background check and provide proof of a negative TB test\n\n*Preferred:*\n\n* Experience teaching or working with elementary or middle school-aged children\n* Comfort with multiple age groups (K–2, 3–5, 6–8)\n* Public Speaking skills are a plus\n* A genuine enthusiasm for sharing technology with the next generation\n\nSchedule\n\n* Monday through Friday, after school hours (generally 2:30pm-5pm)\n* Fall semester (exact start and end dates provided upon offer)\n* Part-time hours (specific schedule varies by site assignment)\n\nCompensation\n\n* Competitive hourly rate\n* Part-time / W-2 position\n\nAbout Code For Fun\n\nCode For Fun is a non-profit organization dedicated to making computer science education accessible and exciting for kids ages 5–18.
