You will be responsible for managing and maintaining our SQL Server databases, supporting data integrations, and working closely with software engineers to develop and maintain robust and efficient data architectures.\r\nYour day to day\r\nManage, maintain, and optimize SQL Server databases, ensuring performance, availability, and security\r\nManage, maintain, and optimizeDatabricksdatabases, ensuring performance, availability, and security\r\nManage, maintain, and optimizedocumentdatabases, ensuring performance, availability, and security\r\nCollaborate with the Software Engineering team to design and implement database structures and queries that meet the needs ofourapplications\r\nReview and analyzequerycode to identify and resolve performance issues, ensuring efficient database operations\r\nMonitor and tune database systems for optimal performance and reliability\r\nConduct database migrations, upgrades, backups, and recovery processes as needed\r\nAssist the development team in troubleshooting and optimizing queries, stored procedures, and performance bottlenecks\r\nContribute to database design and data modeling to support application features and data integrity\r\nEnsure database systems comply with security standards, particularly in highly regulated environments like life sciences\r\nProvide technical support for existing elluminate product releases, diagnosing and resolving database-related issues\r\nAssist in developing and documenting database management best practices\r\nSupport software developers in integrating C# and Entity Framework solutions with SQL Server databases (nice to have)\r\nImplement backup and recovery strategies to protect data and ensure business continuity\r\nConduct regular database health checks, performance tuning, and maintenance tasks to optimize system performance\r\nStay updated with the latest database technologies and trends, recommending improvements to enhance database performance and security\r\nDocument database processes, procedures, and architecture to ensure knowledge transfer and continuity\r\nOther duties as assigned\r\nTake the first step towards your dream career. Here is what we are looking for in this role.\r\nEducation & Experience\r\nBachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalentworkexperiencepreferred\r\n5+ years of experience in SQL Server database administration, including performance tuning, backups, restores, and replicationpreferred\r\nProfessional Skills\r\nExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail\r\nStrong communication and collaboration skills, particularly in cross-functional teams\r\nExperience with cloud databases and data architecture in distributed/haenvironments is a plus\r\nExcellent knowledge of English\r\nTechnical Skills\r\nStrong knowledge of database management principles, relational data models, and T-SQL for creating complex queries and stored procedures\r\nExperience with database design, implementation, and optimization\r\nKnowledge of C# and Entity Framework is a nice-to-have, providing additional value for collaboration with development teams\r\nFamiliarity with database security best practices, particularly for sensitive data in clinical trials and life sciences\r\nProficient in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries and stored procedures\r\nAbility to identify performance issues and implement effective solutions for SQL Server, Databricks, and document databaseperformance tuning.\r\nAbility to work with architecture team tochosethe best technology for the problem.\r\nAccelerate your skills and career within a fast-growing company while impacting the future of healthcare.
