Job Overview: Are you passionate about education and making a difference in the lives of children? We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated After School Aides/ Tutors to join our dynamic team! As an After School Aide/ Tutor at Middle Tree, you will have the opportunity to inspire and support students in their academic journey, helping them reach their full potential. This role is perfect for individuals who are energetic, compassionate, and eager to contribute to a positive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide academic support and tutoring to students in various subjects, including math, science, reading, and writing. Assist students with homework assignments and projects, ensuring they understand and complete their work effectively. Develop and implement engaging educational activities that reinforce classroom learning. Monitor and support students' progress, providing feedback and encouragement to help them achieve their academic goals. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel safe and motivated to learn. Communicate regularly with parents, teachers, Site Leads and Area Managers to discuss student progress and any concerns. Supervise students during after-school activities, ensuring their safety and well-being. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance tutoring skills and educational strategies. Assist with administrative tasks related to the after-school program, such as maintaining attendance records and preparing materials. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field preferred. 48 completed college credits. Previous experience working with children in an educational or tutoring setting is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of academic subjects and ability to explain concepts clearly and effectively. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to undergo a background check and obtain necessary clearances as required by state regulations. Physical Requirements: Ability to sit, stand, walk, and engage in activities with students for extended periods. Ability to lift and move up to 20-50 pounds as needed. Why Join Us?
