This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse mix of structural engineering, building evaluations, and consulting projects across commercial and residential markets.\nThe ideal candidate enjoys balancing office-based engineering and design with field investigations and direct client interaction. This role provides exposure to every phase of a project—from structural analysis and design through construction support and technical consulting.\nResponsibilities Develop structural designs, calculations, and construction documents for new and existing building projects.\nPerform field investigations to evaluate structural conditions, identify deficiencies, and recommend practical repair or retrofit solutions.\nConduct structural assessments and inspections for commercial, residential, and light industrial facilities.\nReview applicable building codes, construction documents, and engineering standards to ensure compliant designs.\nPrepare engineering reports, technical documentation, cost opinions, specifications, and supporting calculations.\nProvide construction-phase support, including reviewing RFIs, shop drawings, and responding to field questions.\nCollaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and internal project teams throughout the project lifecycle.\nMentor junior engineering staff and participate in technical reviews to maintain quality standards.\nSupport technical consulting assignments, including structural investigations and engineering evaluations.\nRequired Qualifications Bachelor\\'s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.\nEngineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or successful completion of the FE Exam required.\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license preferred or the ability to obtain licensure within a reasonable timeframe.\nMinimum of 2 years of experience in structural engineering, building assessments, consulting, or related engineering disciplines.\nExperience designing and analyzing structural systems for commercial and/or residential buildings.\nWorking knowledge of applicable building codes and structural design standards, including IBC, IRC, ASCE 7, and applicable material design codes.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to clients and project stakeholders.\nAbility to manage multiple assignments while maintaining attention to detail and quality.\nPreferred Experience Structural evaluations of existing buildings.\nRenovation, rehabilitation, or retrofit projects.\nConstruction administration and field observations.\nClient-facing consulting experience.\nExperience preparing technical reports and engineering recommendations.\nPhysical Requirements Ability to perform field inspections, including climbing ladders, accessing rooftops, crawlspaces, and other construction environments.\nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.\nComfortable working in varying weather conditions and active construction sites while utilizing appropriate PPE.\nValid driver\\'s license with the ability to travel to project sites as required.\nWhy Consider This Opportunity?
