Civil ForemanCapstone Solutions is a telecommunications construction company seeking an experienced Civil Foreman for the greater Spokane area. We mentor our employees as we create opportunities for personal career growth and development.ResponsibilitiesAbility to train and mentor others: Civil Techs I and IITeach proficient use of hand toolsLead crews to clear and prepare sites for constructionCommunicate engineering and construction drawings with crew to navigate flow of workEnsure all materials are requested and on hand for job siteSupervise and direct work of Civil Tech I and Civil Tech II in a variety of tasks and assist in their development.Oversee and assist crew as necessary. Stay with crew as much as possible and delegate errands to crew members if possibleEnsure and monitor the crew's safety practices.Lead and perform JHA's during Foreman's Daily meetings.Ensure all equipment, materials and small tools are in safe operating conditionEnsure equipment walk-around, DOT Vehicle, and pre-operational inspections are routinely and fully completed.The Foreman is expected to develop and maintain good working relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors and co-workers, etc. by effectively communicating with them, sharing clear expectations and holding them accountable for their actions.Specific Experience and DutiesExcavating footings, tower foundations, tower beef-ups, tower anchors, grounding and utility trenching, grading, concrete workTying rebar, managing concrete pours, finishing foundations and slabsBackfill and pack all excavationsOperating many types of equipmentSome carpentry experience i.e. framing, drywall etc.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesMust have a valid driver license and an acceptable motor vehicle driving recordMust be willing to travel frequently throughout Washington and extended PNW job sitesMust be able to know and understand drawings and specificationsMust be able to supervise and lead employeesMust be able to pass a Background Check, Pre-Employment Physical, and Drug ScreenBenefits:Competitive wages $33 - $48/Hour DOEPer Diem Allowance for out-of-town/overnight travelPaid Weekly by Direct DepositPaid Time Off | 10 Days AnnuallyPaid Holidays | 7 Days AnnuallyExcellent Benefits Plan | Medical, Vision, and DentalCompany vehicle, computer & cell phone401K PlanLife Insurance + Long-Term Disability InsuranceFull Time PositionWages DOEOffer will be contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen, background check, and pre-employment physical.Capstone strongly encourages applications from military veterans!
