The Role We’re seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Part-Time Optical Associate / Optician Assistant to join our team. This is a patient-facing role ideal for someone who enjoys helping people and learning in a calm, high-quality optical environment. This position requires the ability to work at both our Hamden and New Haven locations.Responsibilities Greet patients and create a warm, welcoming experience Assist with frame styling and basic eyewear selection Support opticians with pre-testing and exam flow Help with order check-ins, adjustments, and minor repairs Maintain a clean, organized showroom Answer phones and assist with scheduling as needed What We’re Looking For Positive attitude and strong people skills Attention to detail and willingness to learn Reliable and punctual Comfort commuting to and working in both Hamden and New Haven Retail, optical, or healthcare experience is a plus (but not required) Schedule Part-time hours Weekday availability required Some Saturdays required No late nights What We Offer Competitive hourly pay (based on experience) Paid training Employee eyewear discounts Supportive, low-pressure work environment How to Apply Apply through Indeed with your resume.
