Most components of this role will relate to engineering and/or environmental consulting scopes. This project coordinator role will work closely with project managers and technical managers and ensure the correct delivery of projects within budget and schedule.\n\nYour Impact\n\nSetting up and coordinating the project according to the approach outlined in the WSP’s Project Delivery Manual and in line with established quality control procedures using Horizon (an Oracle-based accounting system).\nCommunicating with the project team to assist with the monitoring and control of budgets, expenditures, and schedules.\nProviding timely updates on project controls, progress and forecasting trends to the Project Manager\nLiaising with subcontractors and suppliers and helping with preparation of subcontractor work orders and invoicing payments\nCreating and updating project budgets and schedules and flagging issues to the Project Manager\nInterfacing with the accounting team to ensure compliance with client invoicing requirements, preparation of invoices and assisting with facilitation of timely payment.\nAssisting with developing and tracking Health and Safety requirements and associated plans.\nCoordinating project team communications, written and verbal, and documenting client meetings, interactions and activities.\nIdentifying the need for and preparing change orders\nReviewing team resourcing requirements and preparing basic work orders\nCoordinating logistical requirements for the project team such as travel and mobilization.\nInteracting with clients as required by Project Managers\nCoordinating preparation and distribution of project deliverables\nAssisting with preparation and submission of project notifications\nEnsuring project files are kept up to date using specified document control system.\nAssisting with proposal writing and coordinating contributors to proposals as needed\nCoordinating project closing through archiving of project documentation and coordination of lessons learned documentation, client feedback documentation, sub-consultant evaluations and project experience profiles.\nWho You Are\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree or similar work experience working with consulting engineering project controls or other interface with consulting accounting systems.\n7-20 years of demonstrated post education experience or similar work experience in project controls.\nBasic knowledge of project management principles and PMI’s Body of Knowledge.\nExperience with Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable systems.\nExcellent organizational skills.\nExceptional attention to detail and accuracy.\nProven ability to meet tight deadlines, manage conflicting priorities, and work well under pressure in a rapidly changing environment.\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills.\nAbility to learn processes quickly and prioritize client requirements.\nStrong team player, self-motivated and proactive thinker with flexible can-do attitude\nExcellent management or supervisory skills with respect to other project control staff or teams.\nExcellent computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and Adobe Acrobat Software.\nPrevious experience working in an engineering consulting business would be considered an asset.\nPrevious experience in Oracle-based accounting or ERP systems\nPMP certification would be an asset.\nExperience in field / supply logistics and travel bookings.\nExperience working in the mining or construction industries or environmental/engineering fields.\nProven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.\nAbility to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.\nOccasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.\nCompensation and Benefits:\n\nWSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, and retirement savings focused on a providing health and financial stability throughout the employee’s career.\n\nExpected Salary: $85,000 - $115,000\n\nThis position would be a NON-EXEMPT position and eligible for overtime compensation (1.5 times hourly rate) under FLSA and California law.\nWSP USA is providing the compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that the company in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and geographic location.
