This role supports the design, development, and implementation of standardized ETL workflows, tools, and methodologies used by audit professionals. The position requires a strong technical foundation, the ability to solve complex data challenges, and a focus on improving data quality, consistency, and scalability.\n\nWe believe in a collaborative, flexible, inclusive, curious, growth-oriented culture with accountability to each other and to our goal of modernizing the way our professionals work.\n\nThe successful candidate will communicate effectively with a broad audience, demonstrate strong organizational and problem-solving skills, and contribute to continuous improvement of extraction processes and solutions.\n\nJob Duties:\n\nWorks with engagement teams and clients to implement and support data extraction tools, workflows, and solutions across a variety of ERP systems\nManage the process of identifying and extracting client data based on analytic requirements using data analysis, research, and technical extraction skills.\nIndependently engage with client personnel and engagement teams to understand ERP-specific business rules and make extraction design decisions to apply those rules in the extraction.\nData preparation and routing into BDO analytics platforms\nIdentifies, triages, and resolves support requests\nEstablishes and maintains customer satisfaction methods and information\n\nQualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:\n\nEducation:\n\nBachelor’s degree, required; focus in Accounting, Accounting Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, preferred\n\nExperience:\n\nThree (3) or more years of experience with data extraction, data engineering, ETL development, or analytic development, required\nAudit, assurance, or accounting client service experience, preferred\nExperience working with large-scale financial or transactional datasets, preferred\nExperience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., audit teams, clients, technical teams) to define data requirements and deliver solutions, preferred\n\nSoftware:\n\nOne (1) or more years of experience with any of the following ETL resources, required\nPower BI, Fabric, or Alteryx\nAzure Data Factory or Databricks\nAzure SQL Database\nAzure Storage Accounts / Data Lakes\nExperience integrating data from ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Sage Intacct, NetSuite, or QBO using analytics tools like Power BI, Alteryx, and Tableau, preferred\nWorking knowledge of various ERP systems and accounting packages, preferred\nAlteryx, MS Excel and Power BI data cleansing techniques, preferred\nAbility to write SQL queries and manage large data sets within SQL Server, preferred\n\nOther Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:\n\nAbility to adapt, self-motivate, and learn new tools\nAbility to communicate effectively with a broad audience ranging from technical to non-technical\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nExcellent interpersonal and customer relationship skills, required\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines\nHigh level of curiosity and eagerness to learn\nAbility to document processes and demonstrate technical solutions to end users\nAbility to perform data quality checks and identify anomalies in datasets\nAbility to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy\nGood understanding of testing and quality assurance for data extraction processes\n\nIndividual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.\n\nNational Range: $90,000 - $120,000\nMaryland Range: $90,000 - $120,000\nNYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $90,000 - $120,000\nAt BDO, how we show up matters.
