This role requires someone who thrives in a team environment where variety in day‑to‑day work is the rule.\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\n\nCollaborate closely with Product Management, Sales and Engineering in support of defining product specifications.\n\nInfluence cross functional teams to drive proactive improvements on both products and processes.\n\nDrive the development of program timelines.\n\nContribute to program execution as part of the engineering team.\n\nTechnical duties will span a wide variety of areas, and include but are not limited to:\n\nDriving design reviews\n\nDeveloping and executing test plans\n\nInvestigating issues with existing or new products\n\nGathering data and using it to drive decision making\n\nRegularly learning new tools and techniques and applying them in daily activities\n\nOffering product expertise and providing overall engineering guidance and perspective to cross‑organization projects, programs, and activities.\n\nDriving innovation and integrating new technologies into projects and activities within the engineering organization.\n\nCollaborating with cross‑functional teams, both domestic and international, to launch products into production.\n\nBe responsible for following all ISO 9001 and engineering team procedures.\n\nOther duties as needed.\n\nWhat you need\n\nMinimum of a bachelor’s degree in one of the following engineering disciplines: Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science or a combination of education, training and equivalent work experience.\n\n5 to 7 years of real‑world experience developing and releasing products that incorporate a mix of mechanical, electrical, firmware and software technologies.\n\nStrong computer skills, including MS Excel and Word.\n\nExcellent communicator, comfortable interacting with a wide variety of disciplines and levels of experience.\n\nInnate drive, with a passion for learning.\n\nStrong problem solving and analytical thinking skills with experience in developing and troubleshooting electro‑mechanical products.\n\nCompetence with summarizing technical information in the form of a report.\n\nMeticulous attention to detail to ensure product quality and compliance with specifications.\n\nMindset of continuous improvement.\n\nPhysical Demands\n\nQualified individuals must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.\n\nBe willing to work in a lab environment as well as outside in various weather conditions to conduct tests on new and revised products.\n\nMust be able to walk, stand, lift, climb, sit, see, and hear.\n\nReasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to execute the necessary functions of the position.\n\nBenefits and Compensation\nThis full‑time exempt position is eligible for all company benefits including employer paid medical, dental, life, disability, and 401k with a match, and more. The pay for this position has a minimum salary of $6,700 per month.
