The Correctional Industrial Facility is a level 2-3, medium security Correctional facility for adult males. The Correctional Industrial Facility is located in Pendleton, Indiana. The Correctional Industrial Facility has various job opportunities available to incarcerated individuals to aid in the re-entry process, including apprenticeships, maintenance, grounds crew, food service, sanitation, barbering, and manufacturing. Incarcerated individuals are also afforded the opportunity to earn their GED.\n\nSalary Statement:\nThe salary for this position traditionally starts at $42,900.00 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.\n\nA Day in the Life:\nThe essential elements of the job duties:\nInstall, operate, and inspect electronic and telecommunication equipment.\nTroubleshoot a variety of complex electronic equipment and performs necessary electrical repairs.\nResponsible for researching and recommending new electronic equipment.\nResolve electrical and operable problems when combining new equipment with present equipment.\nEnsure all electronic systems meet regulatory laws and complies to ACA standards and departmental policies.\nEnsure all safety standards and precautions are followed and in compliance with policies and procedures.\nEstimate and recommend project needs and budget requests.\nDocument and maintain record of repairs, calibration, and tests.\nOrder equipment and parts and maintain an inventory list.\nThe job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
