Job Duties:Prepare or direct preparation of various types of foods according to standardized recipes to meet standards of palatability and quality.Verify food temperatures according to policy.Maintain work areas and equipment and makes sure equipment, ovens, tables, sink and work area, etc. are clean and sanitized.Ensure that proper techniques are used in the storage, handling and holding of all food items. Label, date and wrap leftovers.Receive and store stock and supplies in appropriate places and notifies Registered Dietitian of food shortages and of equipment needing repair.Follow infection control policies including hand washing policies when handling dishes and when preparing nourishments.Demonstrate willingness to help on work that needs to be done in other areas of the kitchen when necessary; performs other duties as assigned.Verify temperatures of coolers and freezer, 3 compartment sink and dish washing machineParticipate in monthly In-ServicesAll inquiries will be kept confidential.
