Help us fully automate our testing of our innovative servo drive designs to maximize resource utilization. As a Test Engineer, you will be on the front lines developing code, working with our Analog and Digital Design Engineers, Sales, Product Management and Production to develop routines that fully evaluate our products from 250 W – 300 kW. Our digital products require testing of their network interfaces as well which include CAN, EtherCat and RS-485.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nDesign, develop and implement test software within our engineering facilities to automate testing to the design requirements.\n\nProvide testability input to Engineering on new product development designs.\n\nSupport manufacturing test of analog and embedded devices.\n\nDesign, implement, and develop the code for test fixtures of power electronics.\n\nDevelop new processes, test methodologies and/or test facilities for improved quality, lower cycle time and lower product costs.\n\nAdditional job duties as required.\n\nRequired Skills and Experience\n\nMinimum 4 years professional experience writing code to automate test routines of electronic assemblies.\n\nData Acquisition, serial and/or other communication programming skills.\n\nAbility to work on several projects at once.\n\nFamiliarity with bench top electronic test equipment.\n\nEffective analytical and problem-solving skills.\n\nObject-Oriented programming skills in a text-based language, C++, C#.\n\nStrong skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.\n\nAbility to prioritize and multi-task in a dynamic environment.\n\nReview schematics to ensure that the electrical circuits are accessible and testable.\n\nPreferred Skills\n\nCANopen experience\n\nTCP/IP experience\n\nSource code version control\n\nSQL and basic database management\n\nUnderstand statistical data analysis\n\nRequired Education\n\nMinimum: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related discipline from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience/combined education with minimum 4 years of professional experience.\n\nQualifications\n\nWill occasionally/frequently: stand, walk, sit, use both hands, and carry/lift/push/pull to 25 lbs.\n\nWe are ITAR Registered. Hired candidate must be a US Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident.\n\nThis full-time, on-site position is located at our Camarillo, CA facility.
